Another child helped through your support……
Riley is 11YO diagnosed with Cowden Syndrome - a rare genetic disorder that causes non-cancerous tumorous growths to occur in the body. Alongside this (or as a result of) Riley also lives with hypermobility, severe autism, sensory processing disorders, dyspraxia, incontinence and is non-verbal.
Riley finds it hard getting around and the family never go on outings and this is in great part due to Riley's risk of falling. He is able to mobilise with support by walking on his tip toes but has frequent falls and calf strain/ injuries which causes pain.
The family asked for a way to help Riley become more independent and a way to include Riley in all family activities. And the Red Eagle Foundation were glad to be able to assist.
Due to his size, a buggy was not possible and so we purchased a bespoke wheelchair for Riley to help him with both everyday life and outdoor trips.
We hope that this will enable you to move around more safely and pain free young man.
