Once again we are very grateful to Heart FM and the Giving Tree at Bluewater Shopping Centre for providing 775 presents to the Red Eagle Foundation. The Foundation collected and distributed the gifts to a number of specialist schools in Kent.
Presents were sorted in to age groups and delivered on Friday 14th December by the Charity Chairman and Business MD Wayne Hodgson, who commented, “Once again, we are delighted to be able to organise and deliver these presents to children, who are not only affected by learning difficulties and disabilities, but many are also from disadvantaged backgrounds. We hope these present bring an extra bit of joy to them at Christmas”.
Recipients included all the children at Meadowfield School in Sittingbourne; Snap Dragons Centre in Rochester; St Anthony’s School in Cliftonville; some children from Orchard in Canterbury and Elms in Dover; as well as the younger year of Northdown school. All schools were delighted and overwhelmed by the sheer generosity of the shoppers at Bluewater, who have donated so much for so many good causes. The children will receive the gifts throughout December at their own individual school Christmas events and fairs.
