The Red Eagle Foundation is looking to recruit additional trustees to join its board.
We are a new operation formed by the directors of Red Eagle Ltd, a recruitment agency in Kent. The foundation focusses on providing grants to disabled children that required bespoke equipment that is not funded by the NHS. We also fund projects to assist disadvantaged children in regards to education, learning and /or development. We operate exclusively in Kent.
Being a trustee:
Trustees have overall control of a charity and are responsible for making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do. Trustees are the people who lead the charity and decide how it is run. Being a trustee means making decisions that will impact on people’s lives. You will be making a difference to your local community and society as a whole.
Trustees use their skills and experience to support the charity, helping them achieve their aims. Trustees also often learn new skills during their time on the board.
You are not paid as a trustee but expenses can be claimed (although no one in our organisation does!)
What else do we need:
Well, we are slightly different. As well as the standard trustee duties we need our trustees to contribute to our fundraising efforts and event organisation. We expect our trustees to develop at least one idea into an annual event and manage this whole process (with support) to raise vital funds to allow us to do the good work we do. Other than this we meet once a month, which is not currently pre-determined and we can be flexible with dates and times. Our Head Office in Folkestone is our charity base.
So, this really is an opportunity for someone that wants to do some really fun fundraising stuff and then get involved with the local community to help achieve the important work we do. You could be involved with the PR, meet different families and have a real positive impact on other people’s lives.
All enquires to firstname.lastname@example.org Once you have expressed your interest you will be asked to complete a two page questionnaire and demonstrate why you would make an excellent trustee.
Closing date for entries is Friday 27th July 2018.
